Roy’s “Standing Up For You” Again
Eileen Roy, a former IB English teacher at Eastside High School, won a second term on the Alachua County School Board on Tuesday in the biggest landslide of the county’s election night (about 2-1).
Congratulations, Ms. Roy!
Her first term was marked by lonely dissents, a strong environmental record, and concern for the low pay of the county’s teachers, priorities she intends to continue in her second term.
My only question is – can we convince her to take this outspokeness to a run for Congress in 2010?!?
