London & The Triad of Lazier Days
This is part of a series of blog posts recalling my overseas adventures in the United Kingdom in fall 2015.
Thursday, Sept 24:
The end of our first week. Ann was still ill, nothing big is on our schedule, so it ended up being a low-key day of attempting to do some writing.
Friday, Sept 25:
On this day, Ann and I parted ways and did our own things. I got a later start, and finally did the kind of low-pressure neighborhood wanderings we should have done earlier on. I got to check out St. Bart’s, Smithfield (a meat market), the Criminal Court, St. Paul’s, and One New Change (a fashion-oriented shopping mall). That I went out and walked around a bit on my own was utterly necessary after the slower few days, but it sounds more impressively busy than it was.
Saturday, Sept 26:
Totally lazy day. Ann was watching her last showing of Hamlet in the afternoon, and I didn’t have any strong opinions about doing anything in particular, so I didn’t.
