3rd Anniversary

Today marks my 3rd anniversary at the UMWA Health & Retirement Funds, having started on December 16, 2002. To date, I have:

1) Served on the employee union’s grievance committee since April 2003, and as its chairman since April 2004;
2) Served as a Benefits Specialist, processing service pensions, from December 2002 to April 2005;
3) Served as the Special Payments Analyst, handling COBRA, QDROs, and healthcare bonuses, from April 2005 to November 2005;
4) Served as a Team Coordinator of Benefits Processing from November 2005 to the present.

In three short years, I have received two promotions. I have also worked within the employees union to bridge a gap between the classified workers and management, while my recent promotion makes that even more integral to my job.

All in all, I’ve no regrets about those 3 years, and look forward to the next two, barring any surprises!
