Son of a President
Jack Carter, the son of former POTUS Jimmy Carter, is running for the U.S. Senate from Nevada against incumbent Senator Ensign. Nevada is not expected to be among our pick-ups on Election Night, but a poll from Rasmussen may challenge that assumption:
In January, Ensign lead 53-34.
Now, Ensign leads by just 46-39.
Moreover, with a M0E of +/- 4.5 points, technically, Ensign and Carter are statistically tied. (Most in the media can’t handle the concept of +/- being applied to both percentages in a polling sample.)
A 7-point deficit in what amounts to a third-tier Senate race. That’s some great news from Nevada!
