Remembering 9/11
It is a sad commentary on where we are as a nation that, on the sixth anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, the mastermind behind it all, Osama bin Laden, still hasn’t been caught even though he is on dialysis (spelling?) and living in a cave in Pakistan.
It’s also a sad commentary that, even as the nation pauses to remember those who died in the Towers, and especially those who went into the burning wreckage to save other innocent lives, the Congress is being subjected to further rosy-colored analysis about our misguided war in Iraq – that is, the very war that has distracted us from the real fight against Osama’s global terror network.
Sigh.
