President Bush names White House Counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court despite lacking any increase as a judge and whose lawyer background was corporate, not trial. The simple reason is… cronyism.

Bush found someone the Dems liked, and pounced because she was in his inner circle. But with Michael Brown being fired from FEMA, it just boggles my mind that a President even as averagely intelligent as he could make as big of a faux-pas as making yet another crony pick, this time for a lifetime seat on the Court.

I share the conservative disgust at this appointment. And I’d rather not repeat the other just as good reasons to dislike it for the sake of brevity.
