Entry for “Cliche Excuse of the Week”
Apparently, Cindy Sheehan, the anti-war activist who lost her son in Iraq, doesn’t believe in beating a dead horse, but certainly doesn’t mind beat a dead son:
I’m appalled that Diane Feinstein wouldn’t recognize how dangerous Alito’s nomination is to upholding the values of our constitution and restricting the usurpation of presidential powers, for which I’ve already paid the ultimate price.
Cindy’s threatening to run against Senator Feinstein in the primary because Dianne wouldn’t support a filibuster of Judge Alito for the Supreme Court. Cindy, mind you, once threatened Senator Clinton, as well, over her stance on Iraq.
Clearly, Cindy is a passionate activist with no sense of practicality (or reality, trying to challenge those two fairly liberal Senators), but maybe she’s played the dead son card one time too many.
