Update from Ken-ville
1) I completed a screenplay recently – a TV Drama Pilot – for entry in the 2010 PAGE Awards. Wish me luck!
2) My temp job as a supervisor has ended, with the return of the manager for whom I was substituting.
3) At my request, an estimate of the value of my employee pension was recalculated (the last time this was done was in 2008). This had the positive effect of raising my personal networth into positive territory for the first time ever, although most of my assets are tied up in retirement accounts and my still-substantial liabilities consist of student loans for a degree I really don’t use.
4) As a result of healthcare reform passing, I finally got up the urge to make my first contribution of the 2010 elections. I gave $25 to Congressman Tom Perriello, a Virginia Democrat in a tough district who did the right thing by voting for reform.
