Voices About Voice
Apparently, a couple SG blogs have stirred buzz about the voices of alumni speaking out against current SG hijinks. This in response to myself, Nick Capezza, and Mike Belle among others writings letters to the editor about the Cosimi-Gate.
Gatorman thinks alumni shouldn’t speak out on events that could impact the value of our degrees (the quality and ethics of student activities), because it’s more important to hear from current voters. I do agree that the scandal and the next SG election should be handled by the current student body, and hope I won’t have to write another letter on the subject again.
And the host of Not Anti-Greek, Anti System spoke about the whole situation with much the same point of view as we did. He described us as “former independent icons” which may or may not be hyperbole, but I’ll take it. 🙂 He also expressed concern that Charlie Grapski might speak out, too, which truthfully gave me pause as well. Never thought I’d be in the same category as him, but ok.
Interesting….
