Students Need Accountability from SG
Well, as the Alligator seeths with the Cosimi-gate scandal, yours truly weighed in. My original letter to the editor was more balanced than the edited version they published, as my blog post was balanced. But they did leave in the shameless plug for my first novel, which is cool.
I think Impact has opening on this issue, if they get into the game more. On Cosimi, on internet voting, on open and honest appointments, on following the rules, there is a lot the majority party (Gator/Engage) has to answer for, but it will take an active and committed opposition to raise these issues.
For far too long, SG campaigns have been based mostly on ideas that are pretty inocuous (who doesn’t want better bus service or leniency on drop/ad, among other things?). Maybe if the opposition party made issues out of how the majority party ran things, it could show the UF campus that they mean business when dealing with $11 million of their tuition money.
Just my additional two cents for free.
