Glenda Day
A letter from the Glenda, dated today, Glenda Day 2006.
Hi Ken,
It’s the first Tuesday in April, so I hope you know what that means.
You have no idea what you started. The celebration seems to grow every
year-and we have a really good time. Today my office is filled with
balloons with personal notes written on each one and crepe paper
everywhere!! I wish you could come down and share the day with me
sometime. Your resolution gets read every year in Senate, so you are
always remembered, too. Thanks so much for being responsible for such a bright, happy time for
me and the new group of senators each year. I keep thinking it will
fade away, but they don’t seem to want to let it go.Glenda Frederick

Glenda Day is an unofficial SG holiday to celebrate everything Glenda has done for the Student Senate, and by extention, the student body. As a sponsor of the original resolution, Glenda Day was among the last and apparently one of the most enduring achievements I made. I had help from the Senate leaders at the time, of course, but I am also equally proud to see future Senates have honored this cause every year since.
That’s really nice Ken, really nice. Truce.
