UF just got a lot more… accessible!
For the first time in recent memory, an unlikely band of insurgents backing Jamal Sowell’s Access Party drowned their greek-dominated establishment opponents in the Innovate Party. In two record-busting turnouts, Access lead on the first ballot and won a landslide in the runoff. More than 11,500 voters showed up this week to hand the non-greek party 59% of their vote. A huge record and a strong chance for Jamal’s group to reshape campus democracy for the near future as Florida Blue Key adjusts to their first major loss in 14 years.
