Based upon: This book is based on the characters established in "Reunion at University Avenue", and "The Proxy Senator", whose college experiences are loosely based on the University of Florida, circa 1999-2002.

Trivia: During a major revision to the plot, the author incorporated a large backstory involving an ambitious but ethical student who challenged the secret society from within. This backstory had originally been planned as a "prequel" to the Mike Adams series.
